Kazerne Food and Art
The annual Dutch Design Week was over before I know it. Luckily I had the opportunity for a short visit to Eindhoven and enjoy the lively atmosphere. A highlight was the Kazerne, located in the heart of the city in a former military police barracks and warehouse. A unique concept of 2500 m2 creativity, drinks and home made food.
The Kazerne started as a pop-up restaurant and is now open all year round for creatives from all over the world. A hotel will be open soon, which makes it even possible to sleep within an exhibition. The lunch was delicious and I loved the selection of personal art and design by curator Lidewij Edelkoort: a great overview of (inter)national autonomous design from 1995 to 2015. The Dutch Design Week might be over now, this Open Ended exposition at the Kazerne is open until January 10, 2016.
