Nomess on my desk
Last weekend I spend a few days in Utrecht, a small but lively old city in the middle of The Netherlands. Normally I avoid the main streets and chain stores. But this time I visited the Bijenkorf looking for the pop up store of Nomess Copenhagen. A Danish brand that is still very hard to find here. Nomess emphasizes the beauty of organising. It offers minimal, practical and stylish products. From small furniture to home accessories and travel products. Although only a very small part of the collection was available, it was worth the visit. In particular the workspace collection appealed to me. Practically goes well with beauty, we already knew that. Nomess shows it with art paper clips, black and white bookmarks and beautiful notebooks. The Tray Box is a favorite. A combination of a tray and hideaway box made of cardboard. A great way to keep the clutter away from my desk and it fits nicely with my other Nordic accessories.
“Nomess Copenhagen was founded in 2007 by Suzanne Potts, due to her own demand for organising, simplicity and aesthetic indulgence. All products are designed for the single purpose of making everyday life easier. For Nomess the functionality in organising objects can’t stand alone – it simply needs aesthetics to function. Those two qualities are the foundation of Nomess Copenhagen – and the vision. Nomess is the obvious choice for creative people, because Nomess is a way of creating a personal style.” (Nomess)
